The US military met its monthly recruiting goals for October, a Pentagon spokesman said Tuesday, calling it "good news" for a force that has been strained by wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sadly, this is after again lowering standards for health, criminal record, education, and intelligence.
If this trend continues, a typical inductee will be almost as bad as members of the Bbush administration.
